Sorry for the recent hiatus, friends. This past month was spent packing, shipping paintings overseas, and finishing up last minute summer commissions. It was also spent in a frantic NYC apartment hunt, that landed us in Brooklyn's Prospect Heights neighborhood, woot!
In case you've never been to Brooklyn, here are a few things you should know.
1. Sunflowers, parrots, and pretty girls line the streets.
2. Backyards exist. And this little one pictured below came along with our new place. Ken has decided to take up bee keeping (more on that later), and in true Brooklyn fashion, we just started a compost pile.
3. There are parks. Lots and lots of parks. And many picnics in those parks.
I lived in New York briefly in 2007, loved it, and swore to move back someday. Five years later, here I am--married, painting, and composting in my backyard. :)
More to come friends, but for now I leave you with our beautiful city's skyline. My heart skips a beat everytime I see it.
